AND THE WINNERS ARE ...

Angie, an 18 year old from Modesto, California, was the first winner ever. Recently, she sent me a revised copy of her entry. Here it is:

NAME: Kess Cerise Reignheart

GENDER: Female

AGE: 22

HEIGHT: 5'7"

WEIGHT: 126 lbs

BIRTHPLACE: Kalm

BIRTHDAY: July 17

JOB: A Turk for ShinRa's Neo-Turks force.

APPEARANCE: Very becoming to anyone around her, she has shoulder length burgundy hair and mako infused cerulean blue eyes. Mostly found in her Turks suit unless it's an off day.

ATTITUDE: Kind, caring, blah blah blah. Not really. Behind closed doors or
during a mission she takes on a very serous, or rather sarcastic tone.

HISTORY: Kess Reignheart, born to two ShinRa employees grew up in Midgar in the custody of her uncle as her parents were just too busy to raise or her brother, Grey. Once he was of age, he left home and moved to Junon Canon City to attend the Soldier academy. During this time, Kess remained with her uncle, learning how to build explosives and other devices as he also worked for ShinRa as a weapons expert. She also practiced sharp shooting as was soon better than most of the people that were candidates for Soldier.

She found her place in ShinRa at age 18, having grown up in the shadows of the
company, she knew her place was pretty much secured. She worked as an expolsives expert, the bombs she made were used in many things, mainly by the Turks. In fact, the sector 7 plate incident was all possible thanks to a bomb she built.

During the Meteor Crisis, Kess unknowingly came across some classified documents having to do with a Soldier that had recently died in the lastest Weapon attack. Kess was horrified to discover that the Soldier was none other than her brother Grey. That was it.. she left ShinRa and disappeared for several years..

Five years later, she emerged in the Neo-ShinRa city of TeaR. With a mysterious president in charge, the company was just as corrupt as ever. Kess soon joined a group of rebels the citizens came to call Avalanche reborn.. However, their goal was much more narrow than that of saving the Planet.. They wanted to completely destroy ShinRa Inc. There she met up with Ashe Kincaid, her partner and fellow explosives fanatic. On a certain mission, they were set up by their employer to purposely get caught by ShinRa to get them on the inside.

That plan worked. They met the President, who was none other than Scarlet
herself. She was going to have them put to death, but on a further examination
of their skills, they were forced into the service of the
Neo-Turks. On her wrist, Kess now wears a C4 packed bracelet that makes her
think twice before escaping.. and here she is now, a prisoner to ShinRa.. But
one damn good Turk.

NAME: Ashley (Ashe) Terrance Kincaid

GENDER: Male

AGE: 23

HEIGHT: 5'11"

BIRTHPLACE: Midgar, Sector 7

BIRTHDATE: September 17

JOB: Explosives expert and weapons and ballistics specialist for ShinRa's
Neo Turks force.

APPEARANCE: Ashe is tall and sort of scrawny, he is usually found wearing
the standard uniform of a Turks, but with a few small exceptions. His blue
suitcoat always remains unbuttoned, and his crimson tie remains around his
head like a headband of some sorts. He has long reddish brown hair that
hangs down to the nape of his neck, and glowing eyes of emerald mako.

ATTITUDE: As for his personality, he is usually shy but friendly, though when
aggitated he has quite a temper.

HISTORY: Ashe grew up in the slums of Midgar that were known as Sector 7 to the general public. He stayed there until the age of 14, living with his mother, Helen, his father, Kyle, and his older brother, Nicholas. At the age of 14 the event that was affectionately nicknamed "The Falling of the Sky", of the collapse of the plate above Sector 7 happened. Ashe's mother and brother were both killed in the incident, and his father sustained great injury. Ashe somehow managed to escape the incident with no injury, except the pain which remained forever in his heart. Ashe managed to transport his father to the clinic in Mideel where he made a slow recovery, but had lost all memory of his past and had forgotten Ashe. The news reports said that a band of Terrorists named AVALANCHE was responsible for the bombing of the Sector 7 plate, and Ashe swore revenge. At age 16, Ashe joined up with the ShinRa incorperated. Noticed for his quick wits, even for a child of his age, Scarlet was quick to snatch the boy genius up and hire him for her Weapons Developement Division. Soon Ashe was appointed second in command of the "Sister Ray" project in Midgar. However, as his rank increased, Ashe gained access to more and more ShinRa files, and eventually learned the truth about the events of Sector 7. Ashe, infuriated by this news, immediatly resigned from the ShinRa and disappeared. The ShinRa corporation eventually fell, and among the depression was split into two groups. One named "ShinRa Incorperated" again, ran by a new and unnamed president, and the other a rebel faction who believed they had a right to the control. Ashe agained surfaced within the group of rebels as their explosives expert. It was here that Ashe met a woman named "Kess Cerise Reignheart" of which he developed a great affection for. Kess also being good with explosives was put to work with Ashe on many occassions. Little did they know the leader in the rebel factions was also one among the ShinRa. The leader decided that he needed people on the inside of ShinRa, so he planned a mission in which two of the rebels would be captured. The mission was set, and Ashe and Kess were the people set to take the fall. When Ashe and Kess arrived at the reactor, they were greeted by the Neo Turks, who quickly apprehended them. As a shock to most of the company, instead of having the traitors put to death, they were adopted into the Neo Turks, for their skill levels. The leader of the rebel faction had exactly what he needed now, two of his people on the inside. They were both fitted with wristbands full of C4, insuring that they will not escape the ShinRa in one piece.

NAME: Rico Valderez

GENDER: Male

AGE: 23

HEIGHT: 6'4"

WEIGHT: 240 lbs.

BIRTHPLACE: Mideel

BIRTHDATE: December 19

JOB: New AVALANCHE member

APPEARANCE: Rico, a solidly built man, stands tall in his scruffy, opened leather jacket. At 240 lbs. he looks monsterous compared to most people which explains why he is usually by himself, and the giant battle axe he has strapped onto his back dosen't help much either. His hair, uncombed and untreated, wildy goes in every direction as it blows in the breeze.

ATTITUDE: No one knows his real attitude because of his extreme quietness, but just from looking at him you could tell he was a very focused person,
but if a person could see his real thought they would find his a very cool guy except his life was ruined by Shinra.

HISTORY: On December 19, he was born and raised into Mideel. He lead a simple childhood, helping his father in day to day tasks with the blacksmith buisness. He loved his father greatly and tried to be around him all the time, but at night his father stayed in his locked study letting no one come in.
One day, Shinra visited town, or to be specific Rico's father. The stormed his house and busted into the study. Inside they caught him relaying messages to AVALANCHE in Midgar. They shot him dead with Rico seeing everything. Rico overcome with rage attacked the soldiers, but at the age of 10 he was easily kicked aside and into unconciousness.
Since that day he has followed Shinra back to Midgar, killing every member he met. He continued this streak until he met Barret Wallace, the leader of AVALANCHE. He joined as soon as he found out his father worked with him. He was a young member, only 17 when he joined. He stayed with the small group until he was almost 22, when he was shot down and captured on a Shinra raid.
He was then sent to Pofessor Hojo to begin testing on as his "latest creation".
Here he met Red XIII and became quick friends with the beast, he stayed here until he turned 23.
One day, while in his cell, he got a new cellmate. It was a young girl named Aeris. He quickly helped her up and became friends with the friendly girl. He didn't get to talk with her much as he was hauled up to be examined. Rico easily escaped the chamber and tried to free Red and Aeris with no avail. He was about to get them out when the alarm system rang out about intruders in the building. Aeris told him to run and get out of
there. This is when Jenova broke out. He fought Jenova like a madman and was about to kill it when Sephrioth stopped him. Sephrioth didn't bother too much with him and threw him out the window.
He landed without any pain thanks to the Shinra executive pool. He got out just in time to see a motorcycle and a van race off into the distance. He caught a glimpse of Aeris and decided to follow them.
And that's what he did, he stayed in the shadows away from the group being afraid of Barret and how he messed up a long time ago. Everytime the team got into trouble an amazing beam would come out of the shadows killing off the enemies.
When he got to the point of Aeris' death he became raged at the evil that was Sephrioth. He raced ahead and fought Sephrioth mono e mono. He won striking Sephrioth down, but after the battle ended he found this was only a clone, and the real one had been killed by Cloud. Doing justice to Aeris' murderer, he finally joined AVALANCHE again after Meteor had been blown to bits. He then vowed to keep Aeris' legacy alive by protecting the planet at any cost...
